My journey as a creative director and graphic designer began with internships at GQ and the assistant creative director at Stage Stores, where I managed visual teams and brought engaging, in-store experiential campaigns to life across more than 1,000 locations. I also crafted personalized designs for Stage's house brands. For the past 8 years, I've immersed myself in the world of editorial design, guiding projects from initial ideation to final execution as creative director of Houston CityBook. It's been clear over the course of my career that I am passionate about the art of collaboration — whether it's on a multi-day fashion shoot and magazine layout, or with entrepreneurs and small business owners hoping to turn their dreams into reality. A writer-editor by trade and passion, I’m a wordsmith and storyteller at my core. My professional journey has taken me through the ranks of print and digital media in Houston, one of the most fascinating and deliciously diverse cities in the country. As the managing editor of Houston CityBook, and before that, the deputy editor of Houston Modern Luxury, I filtered through hundreds of pitches each and every day from publicists, media companies and businesses all over the globe. I also sought out and generated my own story ideas, and became the de facto project manager for CityBook’s print, digital and social media platforms. I have a keen eye for detail, an uncanny knack for time-management, and a visceral reaction to bad grammar.
